We personally have seen the effect of doing both. Gotten to work on many large collaborative projects in the past, and seen many beautiful and engaging things created this way. We feel fortunate to continually have the opportunity to work with companies to not only make things pretty for them, but build a working relationship over time and from the beginning. This allows for a carefully aligned project, giving us the chance to strategically plan a campaign, product, or message from the start. This helps to better align the product with its target demographic, keep all content and materials within brand guidelines and give a more cohesive feel to products.
